Welcome to the Sonoma State family! We know this is an exciting time for you and your student as they prepare for classes this fall.
You'll be pleased to know that students, faculty, and staff will be returning in person to Sonoma State University this fall, where a vibrant and engaging campus community awaits.
The Student Center, dining areas, and the Recreation Center will all be open. Students will have the opportunity to meet new friends, join clubs, attend athletic events, and participate in a wide variety of campus events. We will have a community of approximately 2,000 students living in campus housing, which are ranked #1 by niche.com and are widely known as being among the best in the CSU system! We welcome you to visit Sonoma State and see the beauty of the campus firsthand. Register for a campus tour.
Fall 2021 brings the return of in-person courses, particularly for our first-year students. Our new students will find most first-year Math and English courses will be taught in-person. We encourage all of our new students to enroll in a First-Year Learning Community course which covers two general education requirements, offers a warm welcome to the college experience, and boasts small-sized classes and rich student engagement activities.
Sonoma State serves many different student needs, and our student population has requested choices in both online and in-person modes. We recognize, however, that first-year and new transfer students living in campus housing are especially eager to experience on-campus college life. This year we are offering early registration for incoming students living on campus which will provide an opportunity to register for the in-person courses that suit them most. Lastly, if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to us at email@example.com.
Welcome to Sonoma State – it’s a great day to be a Seawolf!
