Submit mandatory immunization records |
All incoming new students are required to submit immunization documentation to the SSU Student Health Center through the My Health Portal tile on their My SSU Online Services Portal. This must be completed at least 6 weeks prior to the start of each student’s first semester of classes at Sonoma State University. Students who do not meet this deadline are subject to conditional enrollment and other late compliance penalties. Students are able to access their My Health Portal once they have paid their SSU Enrollment Reservation Deposit. Please visit MyHealth Portal on the Health Center's website for further details. If international students do not have access to their immunization records, or need particular immunizations to comply with SSU policy, they can receive testing and pay to receive immunizations at the SSU Health Center upon their arrival for Orientation. |

Purchase health insurance |
Health insurance must be purchased prior to your enrollment at SSU. Please review information regarding international student insurance requirements and how to purchase it here on our international student website. New international students must complete and submit the International Student Health Insurance Committal Form prior to the mandatory orientation program. Students must purchase an insurance policy prior to your arrival on-campus so that you are covered the moment that you step off the airplane. Health insurance coverage can be for the semester, summer, or academic year and must be purchased online via our insurance provider. |

Submit payment for mandatory registration charges |
You must pay your mandatory registration charges. Even if schedule changes are planned, you must complete the registration process by paying the mandatory charges or an automated disenrollment process will occur. Learn how to pay your SSU tuition and fees. |
January 10 |
Submit final transcripts |
Your offer of admission is contingent upon you meeting the specific admissions requirements outlined on your admission letter. It is mandatory that your official final transcripts and/or test scores (evaluated by the third party evaluation services) are received in the Office of Admissions by January 10, 2024. Failure to submit your final documents by the deadline will void your offer of admission. In the event that final documents are not received by January 10, 2024 a hold will be placed on your account preventing further registration activity. Mandatory orientation |
All international students are required to attend a new student orientation prior to the start of their first semester at SSU. The mandatory International Orientation will take place on Friday, January 19th, 2024. You will also be enrolled in an online Pre-Arrival Orientation which you must complete prior to your arrival to Sonoma State. Please visit the International Education website for information regarding the Mandatory Orientation. Katie O'Brien, the International Student, Scholar Advisor will be sending you more detailed information. |
January 21 |
Move-in Weekend |
Residents living on-campus will move into the Residential Community. International students are able to move into their on-campus accommodations the week prior to classes starting so they can attend the mandatory international student orientation. International Student Coordinator, Katie O’Brien, will work with students to sign up for early arrival housing. Read more about living on campus at SSU at the Housing website. Due to COVID restrictions, limited spaces are available in Housing for students for Spring 2024. |
