Discover your path to Sonoma State University from a California Community College with TSP
Sonoma State University is offering the Transfer Success Pathway (TSP) program for all graduation high school students beginning with the Class of 2023.
The new Transfer Success Pathway program is designed to increase access to SSU. If you faced academic, financial, or personal hardships that prevented you from attending, this program could help you get to SSU to earn your degree. All first-time first-year students who opted not to enroll at a CSU campus can apply to the TSP.
Beginning August 1, 2023, eligible students can submit a TSP application through the Transfer Planner in order to:
- Enter into an agreement with SSU and receive guaranteed admission to the degree program of your choice* (if all requirements are met)
- Receive personalized guidance from SSU representatives to create an educational plan that will help you transfer within three years or less
- Map out your coursework using the CSU Transfer Planner portal (coming soon) to ensure you’re on track for your degree
As part of the agreement, students must complete either an Associate Degree for Transfer or an established course of transfer at a California Community College
Transfer Success Pathway is guided by the Governor's Council for Post-Secondary Education Recovery with Equity report and the Postsecondary Education Trailer Bill (AB 132). The TSP program will help improve the student transfer experience while addressing potential equity issues as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, issues with academic preparation, and other challenges facing high school students.
Updates on the TSP program, including the application process, are available on the CSU Transfer Success Pathway website.
*Some majors may have limited capacity. More details are coming soon.
