What is Concurrent Enrollment?

Concurrent enrollment allows motivated high school students, community college students, or students currently enrolled at another California State University campus to take up to six units at Sonoma State University while continuing their studies at their home school.

Why Choose Concurrent Enrollment?

Concurrent enrollment offers more than just early access; it’s a launchpad into your future.

Here's what you'll gain:
  • Jump-start Your Degree: Earn transferable college credits now to save time and money later.
  • Experience College Life: Get a real taste of SSU’s academic environment, professors, and community.
  • Stay Inspired: Pursue your academic goals now and stay motivated on your path to a future career.

Inspired by Stories of Success: Meet Brian

Brian had a dream to become an engineer.

While still attending community college, he took a bold step and enrolled concurrently at Sonoma State. That opportunity not only helped him earn early college credits but also gave him the confidence and clarity to pursue his goals with purpose.

Today, Brian is thriving and on track to earn his engineering degree all because he took that first step. At Sonoma State, we help students like Brian turn potential into progress.
